Revolutionary 3D breast scanner granted CE mark

As the UK representative for nu:view, JS Medical – part of the JS Group – are delighted to announce that this innovative Advanced Breast-CT scanner has been granted a CE-Mark.

Evidence shows that the best chance of catching breast cancer early is with mammography, reducing a woman’s risk of dying by at least 25%.[1] However studies indicate that at least 25% of women don’t schedule a mammogram due to discomfort during the procedure.[2]

Comfort Plus Accuracy

Based on 3D imaging with high level isotropic resolution, the nu:view dedicated breast CT scanner offers improved patient comfort as the breast is not compressed, it emits low patient dose levels in the range of diagnostic mammograms and scan times are short at 7-12 seconds per scan.

The X-ray tube and X-ray detector have been specifically designed for breast CT scanning and utilise state-of-the-art photon-counting technology to generate three-dimensional superimposition-free images allowing detectability of calcifications and providing excellent soft-tissue differentiation.
